The Obama Administration Loves Web 2.0.

 Washington, DC - White House - June 11, 2006

Check out this post on whitehouse.gov called “White House 2.0.”

I subscribe to the White House blog feed. I subscribe to the White House channel on YouTube, I follow the White House on Twitter.  I am more informed about the goings on of this administration than I would have ever expected to be.

Do I care more about this administration because I voted for Obama and was thrilled to see him elected? Probably. However, my support for what is going on in the administration is doing is certainly strengthened by the fact that they are using these tools to make everything so available to me.

Are you following the Obama administration online? What do you think of their usage of social media/networking tools?

Feeling Good.

by Jamie Sanford on January 21, 2009

It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, indeed.

I am 29 years old. I have never been this excited about anything political, this was the first time I voted for a presidential candidate that WON (obviously not going into the Al Gore drama), and to watch him take oath and give an amazing speech, it made me feel so hopeful for our country.

I’ve already subscribed to the White House Blog.  I’m glad to see that the thorough use of the Internet will continue into this administration, I was already happy with what was being done with change.gov (now telling visitors to go straight to whitehouse.gov) after the election, President Obama clearly has smart people behind him who are putting the full power of this environment to good use.

Here’s to 4 years of success, prosperity and yes, change, for the US.
