Photography Gift: Fujifilm Instax Mini with Film

by Jamie Sanford on November 9, 2010

Regardless of this being the age of digital, instant cameras are still really cool.  I have 2 Polaroid cameras and only a limited amount of film left for them.  You can buy Polaroid film now, but it is very expensive.

I am interested to hear more about what Lady Gaga is going to be doing with Polaroid, I hope she gets them to bring back some of the old-school Polaroid products.

For now, I’d like you to meet the Fujifilm Instax.

The images that are delivered are about the size of a credit card, so keep in mind that these will be smaller than traditional instant photos.

I know a lot of people who would love this.  Kids, teens, lovers of instant gratification.  I love the idea of having a photobooth at an event that you make yourself, and using a camera like this would be a great way to keep it easy and let everyone take a photo home with them.

This particular combo of the Fujifilm Instax Min and 5 packs of film (100 photos) is available for $144.07 from Amazon.

A Car Wallet for the New Car Owner or New Driver!

by Jamie Sanford on June 28, 2010

My nephew is 15 and has a driver’s permit.  I immediately thought of him and eventually having a car when I saw this item.

The car wallet is perfect to hold all of the appropriate documents – registration, insurance, etc.

I also enjoy the retro look of the cover featuring a classic Beetle.

The Driver’s Wallet is available from Uncommon Goods for $15.

New Moon on DVD (My recommendation)

by Jamie Sanford on March 18, 2010

As a fan of the Twilight saga, I was a bit disappointed when Summit Entertainment allowed for the creation of at least 5 different DVD versions of Twilight to be released.

I should not have been surprised to see the same thing happen with New Moon.

Having reviewed all of the DVDs available from different retailers, I am recommending the one I will be obtaining, the Target Special Edition with 3 discs of content and a bonus film cell in the packaging.

This version of the DVD has the same content on the first 2 discs as all of the other editions.  However, I was not disappointed by the third disc of content with the Twilight DVD, so I don’t expect this one will disappoint.

The Target special edition is available on DVD for $19.99 and on Blu-Ray for $24.99.

Are you buying the New Moon DVD? Which version will you pick up?
