Instagram Roundup #21

by Jamie Sanford on January 2, 2013

Here are all of the other Instagram Roundups!

Hello, 2012.

We came back from Florida and vegged out for a few days before going back to work. Thanks to Archer, we totally watched Gator with Burt Reynolds. The most absurd movie I have ever seen.

I had work done on my tattoo while in Florida. It’s still healing so it looks a bit blurry but I’m happy with the upgrade.

Still vegging for New Year’s Eve. Will had a head cold, and it was too cold out to do anything anyway. I drank a White Russian, as I do on NYE, and made Will watch Spice World, one of my favorite movies. It is so much fun.

I’m out of Instagram photos for now. See you next week!

2012: The Year in Instagram (Q2)

by Jamie Sanford on December 29, 2012

Here are all of the other Instagram Roundups!

April

Nail polish continued to be dangerous, especially in large groups like this one.

There were a slew of polka dot manicures after I bought nail art pens.

We photographed a local brush fire that month too. My photos are documented here.

Noritake’s traditional dinner at the Nippon Club during the Tabletop Market.

I found out in April that I’m descended from a witch, and went to Milford in Connecticut, because my Sanford line started in the US there. I took this picture of the memorial bridge noting my 8th great-grandfather and great-grandmother were town founders. The name misspelling is unfortunate but still, I love it.

Here’s me with my cousin Andrew’s grave. His parents were accused of witchcraft, and his mother was hanged.

The whole reason we went to CT was so that Will could receive his Christmas gift. He got to drive a steam train!

After the train, we went to the Mystic Aquarium, and I fell in love with the beluga whales.

Back home, back to work, more pictures of the Flatiron Building.

May

We went to the New York Gem and Fossil show in May. Having been obsessed with sarcosuchus, I was super excited to see a skull replica.

I was most impressed with my ability to get this close to the ATM without hitting it.

Traveling again – here we are on a plane to Florida in May.

Short but sweet was a trip to the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, FL.

I have to go to Publix whenever I am in Florida. I love it.

A beautiful stop at the Sunshine Skyway pier while heading back to Mom and Dad’s house.

Later in the week, I had the AMAZING experience of feeding Randall the giraffe at the Lowry Park Zoo. It was one of the best things I’ve ever done.

I also got a tattoo while in Florida. I haven’t written about it yet, but I’ve just had more work done to it.

June

Documented an INSANE heat wave.

Closing out the month was a trip to the carnival in the Meadowlands parking lot. It was already halfway through 2012.

Instagram Roundup #2

by Jamie Sanford on June 13, 2012

Sarcosuchus! It's a replica but that's ok.Saw a Sarcosuchus skull at the NY Mineral, Fossil & Gem Show. I am slightly obsessed with this prehistoric crocodile, so it was a big deal.

Amethyst. Found a cathedral geode for the bargain price of 3500 bucks! Also checked out many cathedral geodes. They are out of my budget for now, but one day I will have one.

My ability to get hella close to the ATM without hitting it are rockin. No one on Twitter or Instagram seemed to appreciate my mad ATM driving skills. I am hella close to the machine but did not hit it. Hence my excited hand gesture.

I like Will's new smirky picture face. Here is Will and I on the way to Florida. He used to look mad in photos but has now implemented smirky picture face.

Miniatures at the Ringling Museum. At the Ringling Museum, in the circus miniatures section. It was spectacular. More on the Ringling soon.

The Ringling Museum is giving me a lot of McQueen exhibit realness. Or the opposite? There was a circus costume display that I could not get enough of. It immediately made me feel like I was back in the McQueen exhibiti at the Met.

Publix YES.We went to Publix while in Florida too. It’s a must when I am there, I miss that store.

Awesome.Beautiful car sighting.

Mom's Tattoos.Went and got my first tattoo at Mom’s Tattoos in Dunedin, FL. More on that later too.

Here comes the rematch.Played no less than 7 rounds of Sequence while in Florida. It’s a tradition, and a game I really like. I wish I played it more often.

I'm feeding a giraffe! We went to the Lowry Park Zoo on Friday. It was unbearably hot, but I FED A GIRAFFE which was amazing. His name was Randall, and I want him to move into my backyard.

Wacky skies. The weather here has been weird since we got back. I keep taking pictures of dark stormy skies.
