Instagram Roundup #28

by Jamie Sanford on February 20, 2013

Here are all of the other Instagram Roundups!

I actually had to go into the bank for something. They still have lollipops there! I was really excited.

Will and I are not into Valentine’s Day, but I did find this cute ziploc bag of Reese’s peanut butter cups in my bag when I got to work.

This is a blurry picture that I took of my camera screen of me and Cindy. We were at our friend Wadee’ah’s birthday party, at which I had a blast.

I Skyped in for a family birthday party on Sunday.

Fortune.

I found this Batman mask at Target and naturally had to try it on. I would definitely rock this on the regular if it had fit my head. It was too tight but the look is fabulous. (I just totally found an adult one. Maybe I will be Batgirl for Halloween?)

I got 2 things from the MAC Archie’s Girls collection. This lipstick called Boyfriend Stealer and a Pearlglide Intense Eyeliner in Designer Purple. I am sad I didn’t pick up more since it is almost all sold out.

Instagram Roundup #10

by Jamie Sanford on October 16, 2012

Here are all of the other Instagram Roundups!

The “didn’t quite get my picture with Martha Stewart” special edition.

So on Monday, October 15th, Will and I went to the Martha Stewart Weddings Bridal Fashion Week Party held at the Starrett-Lehigh Conservatory at the Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia building. I had seen photos of this event in the past, and was excited to finally attend! It was an evening of lots of white, an actual wedding, delicious cocktails and some of the cutest food ever.

The bar was huge! I wish I had taken a picture of the name of my martini. Ginger something-tini I think. I did not take a picture of the gourmet Jell-O shots that we had by Marcia Selden. They were fabulous.

This was a mini cupcake with pralines from Jaret’s Stuffed Cupcakes. Shout out to them, NJ representing!

Lots of sparkle, florals and white furniture setting a festive mood.

More of the flowers.

This is so blurry but you can see the delicious edible engagement ring.

This is a henna-inspired cake by Creme Delicious. I also had a mini wedding cake cookie from Creme Delicious that was heavenly.

Here is a random shot of us during the party.

Martha Stewart appeared with Darcy Miller to officiate an actual wedding!

I saw this couple on the Today Show a while back, Lisa Gant and Alex Pelling have been married a bunch of times. This was the 26th wedding on 26th street.

Wide shot of the wedding.

I was determined to get a photo with Martha but right after this, she was whisked away by her security ninjas.

Lost Will for a bit, but found him at the bar.

Because they think of everything, there was amazing live mood music in the elevator corridor when you entered the party. Exited as well, of course.

Our final stop of the night was the Gorilla Cheese truck, where our rubber bling scored us some sample-sized grilled cheeses to go.

I don’t have pictures, but I did spy Sylvia Weinstock (who is impossible to miss), Randy Fennoli (I didn’t put together who he was until 2 hours later, this is what I get for not actually watching Say Yes To The Dress), and Austin Scarlett. I went up to Austin and congratulated him on his new collection, which from all of the images I saw, is really gorgeous. He seemed genuinely happy to hear it, which was really lovely and endearing.

Thanks to the party team at Martha Stewart Weddings for a great time! See you next year!

Instagram Roundup #7

Here are all of the other Instagram Roundups!

I love this sample I received for spending 100 Sephora points. It’s pretty big! Also, I didn’t notice myself in that reflection until just now.

I think this came in the Sephora box as well. I didn’t look much younger after using it, but it certainly felt like it was trying to burn the age off of my skin.

Find me a disco ball or spinning rainbow lights, and I’m taking a picture. This one is from Suite Bar.

Found this at Target during Fashion Week. Werk.

I have played more Skyrim than I care to admit. I took a picture of my character for posterity. I have no idea who designed this armor to have weird breast windows. Not the safest when people around have swords and shoot fireballs.

Best thing about early morning meetings in the city is the view on the drive in. Particularly enjoyable when the weather is as great as we have had lately.

I am really excited to have received my invitation to the Martha Stewart Weddings Bridal Fashion Week Party. Now I have to figure out what to wear.

Sorel Shoe Party

by Jamie Sanford on November 1, 2011

Sorel Shoe Party

I was introduced to Sorel within the last year or so, I saw a few pairs of fabulous snow boots on some bloggers, and I’ve wanted a pair ever since. My current snow boots are too embarrassing to even share, I definitely need an upgrade. Of course, the best way to do this is to have a shoe party and look at my Sorel options.

The description of the Sentry boot is…

Luxe Italian felt is mixed with a casual sneaker vibe for a stylish winter boot with a retro look.

These are not waterproof snow boots, but I’m sharing them because I think they are very cute.  The Sorel Sentry boots are available from Zappos for $130.

These are also not waterproof, but I love that multi-color stripe on the back.

They’ll be forced to give you and your boots a second glance with the smooth, sophisticated look on the front and the fun, eye-catching striped elastic strip on the back of the Sorel® Fernieâ„¢.

These look so warm and cozy, perfect for cold days when I don’t want to wear giant snow boots but need to keep my feet warm.  The Sorel Fernie boots are available from Zappos for $120.

Pink rain boots. What else is there to say?

Slip and slide no more with the extremely durable and versatile Tivoli™ Rain by Sorel®. Waterproof leather and canvas upper for added protection and durability. Fabric lining for added warmth and style.

These are so cute for wet, rainy weather. The Sorel Tivoli rain boots are available from Zappos for $110.

Sorel offers a number of boots that are weather-friendly and have some style. Love.

Take a blast to the past with the retro graphics of the ‘1964 Pacâ„¢ Graphic’ boot from Sorel®. Waterproof suede leather upper for seam-sealed protection. Removable 6mm washable, recycled felt InnerBoot.

These might be the ones I pick. The Sorel 1964 Pac Graphic boots are available from Zappos for $120.

These were my original first pick, I think I saw them on someone else and liked them.  However, my new favorites are up next. These are still super cute though.

Waterproof, full-grain leather upper. Removable 9mm ThermoPlus® felt InnerBoot provides superb warmth, moisture transfer, comfort, and durability. Acrylic/wool blend snow cuff. 2.5mm bonded felt frost plug in the shell to provide an extra layer of insulation and warmth. The frost plug is a 2.5 mm piece of EVA that is in the heel and forefoot. Handcrafted, waterproof, vulcanized rubber shell.

These are serious boots. My feet would be warm for days! The Sorel Caribou is available at Zappos for $130.

Since I would prefer taller boots, I think that Tofino here is the winner.

Functional and fashionable, the Tofino™ by Sorel® gives you the protection, durability and style that you want and deserve. Waterproof waxed canvas upper with leather overlays for unique styling. Charming faux fur cuff. Sherpa Pile lining adds extra warmth. Waterproof leather shell has a comfortable, sneaker-like fit. Non-slip molded rubber outsole gives you the grip and traction that you need on wet surfaces.

Yay! I picked out boots! It’s too bad I didn’t think about this before the freak snowstorm we had over the weekend. The Sorel Tofino boots are available from Zappos for $140.

Which ones do you like the best? Check out all of the Sorel boots on Zappos here.

Alexander McQueen Shoe Party

by Jamie Sanford on September 19, 2011

It’s no secret that I’ve been on a McQueen kick since my two trips to the McQueen exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The current line of shoes are way beyond the point where Lee McQueen was designing, but Sarah Burton seems to have picked up the reins pretty well.  Beautiful things are still coming from the house of McQueen.

Let’s get on with shoes!

It’s not often that the wedge gets to be more than just the wedge.  This detailed wedge is beautiful and sort of subtle.  The Alexander McQueen 3d Black Flower Wedge is on sale for $547.25 from Zappos.

I wear flats with a number of outfits, and they don’t get much better than this. I would probably prefer a silver skull rather than gold though.  Still, I would manage to handle the shoe the way it is.  Alexander McQueen Skull Flat is available for $545 from Zappos.

Talk about shoe as art. Look at that gorgeous wedge and the COLOR, look at the color! Alexander McQueen wedge in Paprika Suede is available for $930 on Zappos.

See! This skull on those flats would be perfect for me.  Oh well, I will have to settle for these crazy beautiful peep-toe heels.  Alexander McQueen Peep Toe Filigree Skull Pumps are available for a serious $1,275 from Zappos.

The whole collection of Alexander McQueen on Zappos is here.  What’s your favorite?
