Sights and Sounds #35

Lots of random videos this time around. If you receive this post via email, it is best to go through to the actual post where the videos are embedded.

It’s a hamster doing flips, which is one of the cutest things ever. This makes me want to get a hamster.

The Obama reelection campaign is in full effect, and this video reminds me of how well they did the first time using the internet, and is a great timeline of some of the President’s best moments in the last few years. I will be voting for him again.

Plus, they keep getting him to sing and it’s really endearing.

I’ve talked about my love for The Vampire Diaries before, and this is old now, but you can check out the crazy sexy cover shoot photos here on EW.com.

Catherine of Red Carpet Fashion Awards, one of my most favorite blogs, got a look at the details of the recently shown Alexander McQueen collection. After the McQueen exhibit at the Met, I want to see all fashion up close and personal like this, and her post reminds me of that experience so much.

Are you managing a page on Facebook? The Facebook team has a good video on controlling posts in the new Timeline for Pages.

Sights and Sounds #15

by Jamie Sanford on May 12, 2011

Sights and Sounds #15, I could probably write one of these a day if I wished.

I’m late with this one, but it is stuff like this that makes me love the Internet so much, because it makes me laugh. Here’s a link to the 20 best Obama Memes from the Osama Drama.

If you aren’t listening to Robyn, you should have started 3 years ago. Anyway, this is her collaboration with Norwegian electronic duo Röyksopp, “The Girl and The Robot.”

Wow. Check out this 14-layer cake made by the fabulous Bakerella.

Sights and Sounds #15 comes to a close. Share links and photos for these posts on Facebook!

The Obama Administration Loves Web 2.0.

by Jamie Sanford on May 8, 2009

 Washington, DC - White House - June 11, 2006

Check out this post on whitehouse.gov called “White House 2.0.”

I subscribe to the White House blog feed. I subscribe to the White House channel on YouTube, I follow the White House on Twitter.  I am more informed about the goings on of this administration than I would have ever expected to be.

Do I care more about this administration because I voted for Obama and was thrilled to see him elected? Probably. However, my support for what is going on in the administration is doing is certainly strengthened by the fact that they are using these tools to make everything so available to me.

Are you following the Obama administration online? What do you think of their usage of social media/networking tools?
