Kelly Framel Jewelry

by Jamie Sanford on November 19, 2010

I’m writing a second post today to point everyone to Kelly Framel’s jewelry shop.

Kelly is also known as The Glamourai, I’ve been reading her blog for some time now and absolutely love her style.  Her pieces are unique and handmade, and that skull ring needs to be mine.  A great option on her site is the layaway program – what a great opportunity to reserve one of her fabulous pieces and have some time to come up with the cash instead of saving up and realizing that someone else scooped it up!

Mermaid Cuff Bracelet

by Jamie Sanford on August 19, 2010

Day 4 of sale items from Uncommon Goods.

Another one of the things I respond to is mermaids. So, when I saw this – it was going to be on the site.

This is not for everyone, mermaid bracelets just don’t work all of the time.

Here’s the description:

Hand cast from molds of vintage swizzle sticks, these cuffs by artist Nina Dinoff are dreamy, graceful and serene, just like the elusive mermaid. Available in sterling silver-plated and 18 karat gold-plated brass. Handmade in Brooklyn.

Swizzle sticks were invented in the ’30s, but were quite popular from the ’40s through the ’70s as a means of advertising for hotels, restaurants and airlines.

These bracelets have been discontinued, and are currently on sale for 50% off.  You can pick up both the silver and the gold for $34.99 on Uncommon Goods.

Adorable mini bots

by Jamie Sanford on February 5, 2010

Just came across this yesterday, and thought it was the cutest thing ever.

For reference, here’s a link to the Lady Gaga video where she wears the outfit depicted in the bot.

It turns out that there’s a whole shop of these called Bolts & Bots on etsy.  The bots I’m posting in this entry range from $18 to $22.  They are made by hand, and are tiny at around 1 inch high.  Expensive yes, but beautifully made, a great gift for a hardcore fan of a character or celebrity.

Here are a few more that I love.  Click on the images to reach the product page.
