2013 Holiday Wishlist

by Jamie Sanford on December 9, 2013

Holiday wishlist time! I update my Amazon Wishlist all year long, I think myself very useful for giving everyone at least 50 ideas of things I would like to receive. I am perfectly aware that not everyone wants to buy me a $2000 lens, but that’s why it is a wishlist.

Let’s get going on my 2013 list.

I think there’s always a Konstantino piece on everyone one of my wishlists. I love almost all of the pieces! The styling is just totally for me. This Pave London Blue Topaz ring is available from Neiman Marcus for $850.

BEAST camera. I just bought Will the Sony a77, but of course, my jealousy at his new shiny toy makes me want one too. This the biggest and baddest camera you can get from Sony right now, so I’m putting the a99 on my wishlist. Available from Amazon for $2,798.

The Bambi hat by Celapiu on Etsy. So cute for $45.

Another day, another deer for my home. This silver deer head wall sculpture is on sale for $66.

Black Christmas Tree! I have been mourning the fact that we will not have a tree again this year because we will be traveling, and I’m dreaming ahead to a time when I have a home with more than 1 tree in it. We have a normal tree now, but I have way too many things to fit on the current tree. Maybe I could go black and gold, since I have a LOT of gold stuff for the tree. This particular model is available for $174.95 from Amazon.

These are gorgeous, and Dr Martens! This is Arabella by Dr Martens, available for $407.48 on Amazon.

These are reminiscent of some Prada loafers I’ve wanted in the past. Buckled In by Irregular Choice, $169.95 via Solestruck.

That’s all for now. I could go nuts with adding lots more stuff, but this will do. I reserve the right for a part 2!

Let me know what is in your wishlist in the comments!

2012 Birthday Wishlist

by Jamie Sanford on December 2, 2012

My birthday is coming up soon (December 7th), so here is my fantasy wishlist. My real Amazon wishlist is much more accessible. This one will be about expensive things that I don’t expect anyone to buy me!

I tend to not buy expensive sunglasses, but these are so gorgeous. They are also $290, from Nordstrom.

…except that I just found these for $10.99. Retro City Sunglasses ftw!

Miu Miu Runway Shiny Leather Buckle and Fringe Oxfords – these are on sale for $525 at Saks.

Love the blue and I want to touch the leather. Balenciaga Arena Giant 12 Rose Gold Velo in Bleut, $1,895 at Barney’s.

SO COOL. iPhone speaker doc that uses a vintage gramophone. $422 from ReAcoustic on Etsy.

I have wanted this for years. A pop girl piece by Hulbert Waldroup. A commissioned one would be even better.

Something else I have lusted after for a while. The Lancaster Leather Sofa from Restoration Hardware – the super deep Luxe edition. A mere $4,175.

I love Konstantino jewelry, and definitely would love this London Blue Topaz Crown Ring for $850. Neiman Marcus has a great selection of Konstantino jewelry.

The last item are these Miu Miu jeweled suede platform sandals. Also from Neiman Marcus, for $2100. These are a bit much but they remind me so much of a pair of YSL shoes that I was obsessed with years ago, so I want them.

That’s all – I will be spending a lot less money for my birthday but I intend on having fun which is priceless! Have a good week everyone.

Vintage Shopping at The Fancy Lamb

by Jamie Sanford on October 17, 2011

Vintage Shopping at The Fancy Lamb

I love vintage items, especially accessories and electronics.  I was on one of my Etsy binges, where I start out looking for one thing and end up viewing about 20 different categories, when I came across The Fancy Lamb, touted as “reinvented vintage goods.” I saw a lot of things that I loved, so I had to write a post featuring some of my favorites.  Here we go.

Vintage Deer Antler as decor? You know I’m all over that. $22 from The Fancy Lamb on Etsy.

I really love the look of the round suitcases, and we just don’t see them anymore.  This one has a beautiful green color too, it’s obviously old but not hideous. The vintage round suitcase is $48 from The Fancy Lamb on Etsy.

Apparently it is hard to really know if something is an Eames or Herman Miller, but this has  the original Herman Miller sticker!  I love this chair, I would love to have it in my future office. The vintage Herman Miller is available for $400 from The Fancy Lamb on Etsy.

I love the idea of this, collection sets of letterpress letters in the letter of your choice. I am very attached to my J, so i can definitely get behind this.  The Fancy Lamb doesn’t have a J set, unfortunately, but this set of R letterpress letters is available for $32.

Another piece of luggage, but this is a fabulous train case that would be wonderful for storing any number of things in your home.  The blue color is great.  This vintage American Tourister case is available from The Fancy Lamb on Etsy for $42.

I love cameras, and expect that when I have some more space, that I will end up with a collection of cameras as sculpture.  This Argus C3 Rangefinder is such a beautiful example of the way cameras used to look.  The vintage camera is available for $48 from The Fancy Lamb on Etsy.

Check out the entire collection from The Fancy Lamb here on Etsy.

Ardent1 Ring Selection

by Jamie Sanford on October 1, 2011

Ardent1 Ring Selection

I love Etsy binging, where I just start searching for one thing and end up on a tangent of searches, an endeavor that always turns up interesting and beautiful things. I came across the Ardent1 jewelry store and I love the rings, all cast in silver from different materials. Let’s take a look at my favorites.

This one is actually cast from green onions.  Love.  Green onion ring from Ardent1, size 7.25, $90.

Cloud Lace Ring from Ardent1, size 8.25, $90.

I really like this one. Crown Lace Ring from Ardent1, size 5.75, $90.

Cast from a real fern! This is my definite favorite.  Multiple sizes available from Ardent1, $75.

Check out the entire selection from Ardent1 here on Etsy.

Hand-Felted Items from Crafts2Cherish

by Jamie Sanford on June 1, 2011

I mentioned yesterday that I’m working on planning a vow renewal with my husband for our 5-year wedding anniversary. Since we’ve looked at a number of hotels in Las Vegas, including the Paris, I immediately started thinking about a Paris-inspired look.  Felt artisan Crafts2Cherish on Etsy has great items for this purpose.

This is a classic beret with a hand-felted red rose attached. Very perfect for embracing the stereotype. $51 from Etsy seller Crafts2Cherish.

This pink felted ring is such a more fun option than a traditional corsage. Available for $19 from Crafts2Cherish.

This would also work as a great corsage replacement, a beautiful red poppy. This is available for $32.

This item doesn’t fit as well into my Parisian theme, but it’s a beautiful chunky knit, and 50% of the sale will go to ongoing relief efforts in Japan.  This beautiful beret is available for $25 from Etsy seller Crafts2Cherish.
