I’m totally late for posting on the 4th of July, but this looks delicious.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about Kansas City Steaks (haven’t had them myself…yet), so here we go.

Shortbread Assortment from Truffle Truffle

Today, something yummy for Sunday.  In fact, I’m introducing “Yummy Sundays” on the blog, where every Sunday will feature a food gift.

I haven’t tasted this product, but it certainly looks fantastic. I love shortbread so the Shortbread Assortment from Truffle Truffle looks like a  great idea.  This would certainly be a great host/hostess gift, a small birthday or thank-you gift, or just something with which to treat yourself.

Brownies with Chevre!

I am really excited at the prospect of this, but I would have to taste them to really form an opinion.  I just caught a few minutes of Throwdown on the Food Network and this is the brownie Bobby Flay competed with.  It is dark chocolate, with goat cheese in the middle.

It is a play on a cheesecake brownie, and being a big fan of goat cheese, I am dying to try these.  The Dark Chocolate Chevre Brownies are available for $23 (half dozen) or $41.50 (dozen).

Sarabeth's Strawberry Rhubarb Preserves

I can vouch for this product, I love visiting Chef Central and I picked up this product during a past visit.  I understand that $8.99 for some jam might seem high, but I can attest to the quality, and it is delicious.

I think that a great way to pick a host/hostess gift is to think about the morning after the event.  These preserves, with an easy-to-make recipe for a preserve delivery method, would be lovely.  Bonus points of you put the dry ingredients together in advance and give them to your host/hostess in a jar accompanying the preserves.
