iRetrofone Classic iPhone Dock

by Jamie Sanford on November 2, 2010

Fabulous iPhone item today, definitely something I will want when Verizon gets the iPhone and then I get one.

Hand-Sculpted iRetrofone Base By Artist Scott Freeland Fuses Art With Function. The iRetrofone Base is a fully-functional, stationary iPhone dock with working handset and complete compatibility with USB cable. Each individual iRetrofone is hand-sculpted and hand-cast in urethane resin. The iRetrofone base is made of heavy-duty, half-inch thick urethane resin creating a stable, functional work station that routes voice communications through the included handset. Designed to be compatible with all iPhones (3G, 3GS & 4G, it accommodates sync and charge functions via a USB cable (not included). The iRetrofone base also helps eliminate concerns about radiation.

I love this. The iRetrofone Classic from Etsy seller freelandstudios is available for $195.

Gorgeous vintage upcycled iPod dock

by Jamie Sanford on October 29, 2010

This is recycling at its best.

A 1958 Arvin Radio recycled as a 2010 iPod dock. Unfortunately GrahamTronic on Etsy doesn’t give more information than that, but I imagine that he would, if you were an interested buyer.  This item is such a good balance of pairing old-school sensibilities with new-school electronic accessories.

This awesome item is listed for $750 on Etsy.

Audyssey iPod Dock

by Jamie Sanford on October 25, 2010

No theme this week – just going to show everyone some things I’ve been looking at but that didn’t fit into a theme.

First up, the Audyssey Audio Dock.

Sexy, right? I thought so too.

There is a lot of other information available on the website.  The Audyssey doesn’t end up in stores (Apple stores only, apparently) until November, and according to Engadget it will retail for $399.

You can sign up for emails to find out when it is available here.

Grassy Charging Station

by Jamie Sanford on February 28, 2010

Today’s item is a cool gift for anyone who has a lot of techy devices and a lot of charging cords to go along with them.

I introduce you to the Mxyplyzyk charging station.

I love this, I think it would be great to have on your desk at the office to charge things, it is functional and also brings some non-killable plant life into the space.  (The non-killable factor is huge for some of us without green thumbs.)

This charging station is available from Mxyplyzyk (in either black or white, as seen above) for $28.
