Noritake collaborated with Matthew Robbins and Sweet Paul to create an advertorial for the inaugural issue of Matthew Robbins Sweet Paul Weddings.  Here’s a look at the shoot day. Images taken with the Sony NEX-6. (The previous link is an affiliate link, which means I receive a small commission if you make a purchase using this link.)

A beautiful color combination of white, grey, blue, and yellow.

Here’s a look at the gorgeous floral arrangements by Matthew Robbins.

Lovely natural light.

I loved these gorgeous menus.

Overhead bowls.

I really hope to have another chance to work with this team again. The final images can be seen here.

Noritake Behind the Scenes, Colorwave Photoshoot

We recently held a photoshoot for the very popular Colorwave collection, as we have recently added a new color. Here’s a look at our shoot day. Images taken with the Sony NEX-6. (The previous link is an affiliate link, which means I receive a small commission if you make a purchase using this link.)

The real images were created by James Ransom.

In the final images, you cannot see how in “photo fantasyland” that the shelves are not actually real shelves.

Another look at the reality of things.

Piles and piles of dinnerware.

Creating the Colorwave rainbow to perfection was NOT easy! I commend our stylist, Alexis Anthony, for her seemingly never-ending patience and attention to detail.

You can just catch a glimpse of the wax used to mount the dinner plates. This is one of two versions of the Colorwave rainbow that was created.

Not exactly the final, but it gives you the idea. The final images are stunning. You can get a peek at some of them at NoritakeChina.com.

A few shots to share from a recent Noritake photoshoot. You can see my other images from the past few photoshoots here, here, here, here, and here. Images taken with the Sony Nex-6.

Once again, I’m acting as the client (as Marketing Manager for Noritake). Our photographer was James Ransom (the shots in this post are mine, James shot the real ones), and our stylist was Alexis Anthony.

These items are in 3 different patterns, part of the newly-launched Culinary White collection on NoritakeChina.com.

Photography: Behind the Scenes, Noritake Photoshoot

by Jamie Sanford on August 6, 2013

I really like getting to mix my love of photography with my job. I’ve done a few sets of photos that offer a behind-the-scenes look at shooting videos and photos for use on our website, with our retailers, and on social channels.  Recently I attended another photoshoot, and shot some images of our setups to share with our customers. These had an amazing response on Facebook!  You can see the whole set here – or a few below.

I’m behind again, but I had a wonderful weekend and I didn’t get around to writing any posts. Forgive me.

Anyway, I’ve been wanting to try this for a while, celebrity products!  So many random celebrities either design or simply endorse products, so this week will be all about that.

First up? Eva Mendes dinnerware from Macy’s.

It’s a little WTF, I don’t know what Eva as an actress has to do with home decor, but let’s go with it.  The designs are really nice, the line is called “Vida by Eva Mendes” so it’s clearly meant to evoke some Latin flavor.

Product description:

Garnish ordinary meals with the sunny botanicals of Catalina. Hand-painted dinnerware in flared square and palm-friendly shapes are drenched in soft yellows and tangerine, sky blue and pale green for a warm, exuberant welcome three times a day.

The 4-piece place setting from Eva Mendes is on sale for $35.99, available at Macy’s.
