Awesome VHS Laptop Skin

by Jamie Sanford on October 27, 2010

Continuing on a bit of a retro 80s vibe after the Back to the Future post, this laptop skin from Infectious is amazing!

Who didn’t have this exact scene happening in their video storage area in the 80s?  I was at my parents’ house a few weeks ago and I saw a few tapes labeled just like this!

For anyone not familiar with laptop skins, they are like Colorforms, another 80s classic.  The skin is like a window cling that sticks to the outside of your laptop.  They are really easy to apply and offer great customization without the crazy expense that you can get from buying a computer with a skin already on it.

The VHS tape skins range in price from $19.99 to $29.99 depending on laptop size.

Bedding by Diddy

by Jamie Sanford on October 21, 2010

Continuing with Celebrity Products Week, we have bedding from Sean John.

I guess the step from designing clothing to designing bedding isn’t a huge jump.  The clothing attracts the opposite sex, and you continue your hot Diddy style into the bedroom with your sexy sheets?

Sure, let’s go with that.

It’s not bad – I have a thing for crowns so I dig that accent pillow.

Product description:

Ever luxurious in a satin jacquard stripe, the Saville Row comforter set from Sean John makes a sophisticated statement in tones of chocolate, sky and ocean blue. For even more style, embellish the look with textured European shams, striped sheeting and decorative pillows.

The Sean John collection comes in separate pieces starting at $70, all available at Macy’s.

Montell Williams’ Juicer.

by Jamie Sanford on October 20, 2010

Hmmmm.

Why should I be getting a juicer from famed talkshow host Montell Williams?

…yeah I don’t know either.

It looks pretty legit though.

Product description:

Take a step toward better health and wellness with the HealthMaster fruit and vegetable emulsifier from Montel Williams. With its strong 1200 watt, 2HP motor and commercial-grade, stainless steel blades, this powerful pulverizer has the strength to liquefy whole fruits, vegetables, and leafy greens in just minutes–while still retaining the vitamins, minerals, nutrients, antioxidants, and phytonutrients.

It makes a great shake–but it’s not just for drinks! In addition to being able to make your favorite juices and power smoothies with ease, this high-speed emulsifier can be used to make all-natural baby foods, salad dressings, frozen desserts, and more–you can even use it to mix ingredients for cupcakes, muffins, pizza dough, and breads. You’ll have fun experimenting–there’s 318 recipes in the included cookbook to try.

Hot, healthy foods–it makes them too. Using centrifugal friction, the HealthMaster naturally cooks foods into hearty, robust soups right in the carafe. And, it does it without stripping away important nutrients like boiling can. Your hot foods will be just as healthful as raw foods–now that’s something you’ll really warm up to.

Ready to try it for yourself? Choose your favorite color and get ready to create and taste the healthiest foods of your life. Once you have the HealthMaster Emulsifier in your kitchen, you’ll wonder what you ever did without it.

The Montell Williams Juicer HealthMaster Emulsifier is available from QVC for $164.52.

Nate Berkus Studded Leather Table

by Jamie Sanford on October 19, 2010

Celebrity product week continues.  This one actually makes sense, as Nate became famous because of his fabulous design skills.

So I checked out Nate’s line of products on HSN.com and I picked out this table that I really like.

Product description:

Looking for just that perfect piece to complete your room? The rich patchwork leather design of this table, accented by bold brass studs, makes it stand out in your home decor. Linear simplicity appeals to the contemporary and the studs speak to the traditional aesthetic.  With the added repetition of studs in the leg design for distinction and the bottom shelf for stability, your search is over.

The Nate Berkus Leather Table is available from HSN for $199.95.

I’m behind again, but I had a wonderful weekend and I didn’t get around to writing any posts. Forgive me.

Anyway, I’ve been wanting to try this for a while, celebrity products!  So many random celebrities either design or simply endorse products, so this week will be all about that.

First up? Eva Mendes dinnerware from Macy’s.

It’s a little WTF, I don’t know what Eva as an actress has to do with home decor, but let’s go with it.  The designs are really nice, the line is called “Vida by Eva Mendes” so it’s clearly meant to evoke some Latin flavor.

Product description:

Garnish ordinary meals with the sunny botanicals of Catalina. Hand-painted dinnerware in flared square and palm-friendly shapes are drenched in soft yellows and tangerine, sky blue and pale green for a warm, exuberant welcome three times a day.

The 4-piece place setting from Eva Mendes is on sale for $35.99, available at Macy’s.
