Video: Britney Spears, “Criminal”

Video: Britney Spears, “Criminal”

Britney Spears is one of my favorites. I enjoy pop music and what she delivers is consistent, fun and sexy.  This new video for “Criminal” is no different.  Shot in London, it stars Britney and her real-life boyfriend Jason Trawick as a couple who meet and quickly fall in love and become wanted and hunted by British law enforcement.  It is really sexy, and since I can’t seem to embed the video, here are some screenshots.

Pretty Britney’s beauty shot.  Love her eye makeup.

Sexy Jason takes Britney back to his lair, and they get it on.

Britney takes Jason’s gun to the convenience store and decides to commit a crime.

She’s mad and she wants money! NOW!

Cut to sexy Britney in that doorway.

Then we get to the part where Jason and Britney are naked and HOT in the shower.  Damn.

This is what happens when you make a video with your real-life man, and don’t have issues with nudity because you’re both hot.

Still so pretty.  Also, I want my hair to look like that.

The London police find them and shoot up the place while Jason and Britney make out and then escape.

Go watch the “Criminal” video here. This video gets a 9/10.  This is one of my most favorite Britney videos in AGES.

Sights and Sounds #13

by Jamie Sanford on May 4, 2011

Sights and Sounds #13 is ready to go.  Always some videos and pictures to share.

[youtube MTlWtG8qXvo]

Check out Makael and Kevin of the Skorpion Show, and their review of Beyonce’s new single “Girls(Who Run the World)” and it is one of the funniest things ever. I LOVE it when people are so passionate about the pop culture icons that they love, I know I’ve been taunted for loving Britney Spears this much, so I gotta give it up to Kevin and Makael.

[youtube 1AKBLJeTXnU]

Lady Gaga was on Ellen – here’s the full interview.

[youtube ngmz7Dfs9CU]

As if I wasn’t excited enough about Britney Spears going on tour with Nicki Minaj, now Nicki kills it on the “Till the World Ends Remix” which also features Ke$ha.  LOVE.  (We need a video please!)

And a darling gif from Pretty in Pink.

Sights and Sounds #13 has come to a close. Please leave links, images, etc on the Facebook page for future Sights and Sounds posts.

Britney Spears has a new video! Here’s the link to “Hold It Against Me,” or you can watch it below.

[youtube -Edv8Onsrgg]

If you didn’t have a seizure from the jump cutting, let’s continue.

This is not even in my top 5 Britney videos. I am seriously disappointed.

I had high hopes for the video, I really like the song, I think it’s a fantastic dance track and since I have appropriate expectations when it comes to my Britney Spears content, I am fine with that. Even the teasers for the clip looked pretty promising and so I was excited for it.  Plus, Jonas Akerlund directed and that’s pretty much always a good situation.

Example: Lady Gaga & Beyonce, “Telephone”

[youtube EVBsypHzF3U]

Yeah, that’s a serious music video.

Anyway, so you have to look at this in gif or image format to get a good look at anything, so I’ll share some of that here.

She looks pretty but the dress doesn’t really fit.

I don’t love this hair but again, she looks good. My problem is that we never see her for long enough to form an opinion.

SEXY! That, my friends, is Britney Spears. She can still do it – I wish I knew why they didn’t show it to us in this music video.

Anyway, there are lots of interpretations of the clip online.  The white dress and the being surrounded by videos from her past, then the destroying it all with paint, that’s Britney moving into the future.  She’s fighting herself too?

Manager to Britney Spears, Larry Rudolph, was talking in an interview about the public and private Britney and how they are sometimes at odds with each other.  Larry – anyone who knows anything about Britney’s “private” time knows that she generally doesn’t look this good when she’s not being “public” Britney.  I don’t see any Uggs in this fight.

Anyway, I think the only way to finish this post is to feature my Top 5 Britney Spears videos.  This is no easy feat, as Britney has made something like 30 videos.  Anyway, here we go.  These are in no particular order.

“Stronger”

[youtube AJWtLf4-WWs]

I know that everyone loves the “Baby One More Time” video and I do too, and while also really love the “Oops I Did It Again” clip (especially that white outfit during the second verse where she just looks so gorgeous), this video was the first one where I thought Britney was really sexy.  The Wikipedia article on Britney’s videography has this amazing description of the video.

Set in a semi-futuristic world, Spears is seen breaking up with her boyfriend who is cheating, driving a car through a thunderstorm, and performing intricate choreography upon a chair.

“I’m A Slave 4 U”

[youtube Mzybwwf2HoQ]

This is the Britney Spears video that most people agree on.  Everyone likes this, everyone agrees that the song is great and the video is super hot.  Britney’s body was ripped, the dancing was ON, it all worked.  A sign of things to come with videos from the Britney album.

“Toxic”

[youtube LOZuxwVk7TU]

The second video from the In the Zone album, naked sparkly Britney shows up looking stunning, between the plot  involving Britney as a sexy spy taking on her nemesis, a hot guy who has clearly wronged her in some way.  Lots of wig changes and outfits.  The song and video are both amazing.

I really love the video for “My Prerogative” but since it doesn’t have the dancing, I am putting it aside in this list.  It is probably number 6 or 7 though.

“If You Seek Amy”

[youtube 0aEnnH6t8Ts]

I love this video! The song is sort of silly, but I stopped caring when I saw Britney in the midst of some hottie sex party.  This was filmed while she was on tour, so the tour dancers are in the video and while it isn’t traditional dancing in front of a camera, I like the dancing a lot.  There’s a moment involving a hot dancer at the top of the stairs after Britney puts on the pink and white outfit that is my favorite.

“3 (Director’s Cut)”

[youtube EVGN0y9evsc]

The regular version of this clip is great, but the director’s cut is just a bit sexier and so I’ll share that version here.  I really love this video, the previous one had been “Radar” which was a completely different feeling, being more about having a plot.  This video is about dancing and sexiness. Britney does some choreographed dancing and looks great.  I think this might be my current favorite.

What’s your favorite Britney Spears video? Or are you like me and have to pick a top 5?

Sights and Sounds #1

by Jamie Sanford on February 6, 2011

New post for Sundays!

First up, the Volkswagon commercial that I’ve watched 5 times today.  This kid is brilliant and when he passes his Dad to go use the force on the car? That’s incredible.

[youtube R55e-uHQna0]

Second, here’s a great video of my favorite figure skater Johnny Weir on Lopez Tonight, where he and George Lopez switch outfits.

[youtube OJAGdKIdwO8]

My girl Britney Spears is back, and is teasing us for the next 12 days before the video for her hit single “Hold It Against Me” is released.  Here is today’s teaser video:

[youtube uCTFXrMmZB0]

I was also exposed to a hot remix of “Hold It Against Me” – The Robots with Rayguns remix.  You should listen to it.

[youtube JVTG2zeGRPI]

Last one – an oldie from the 90s.  I randomly heard this song during a trip through the shuffle setting on my iPod last week, and damn if it isn’t a great song.  I give you “Selling the Drama” from Live.

Sunday Link Party!

by Jamie Sanford on December 26, 2010

Last one of 2010!

Another photo from that trip I took to the cemetery.  I’ve finally finished editing the whole set, which is available for viewing here.

If I were to get married in Florida, I would love to have it be this fabulous.  They have a circus theme and it isn’t cheesy at all. (Weddings Unveiled Blog)

Christmas present from Nine Inch Nails – edited video from the first of the last few shows that took place in August & September 2009 in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.  I wasn’t able to get tickets to this show at Bowery Ballroom – I was at the next night’s show at Webster Hall and at the last show in NYC a few days after that, but this video is making me way more sad about not having been there.  What a tiny venue.

Teen Vogue teamed up with JCPenney and redecorated the bedrooms of teenagers using new JCPenney bedding. This one is great! (Apartment Therapy)

I’ve been a longtime fan of Kevin Smith, and the teaser for his new movie looks insane.  It’s a horror movie!

Great link on Increasing Personal Satisfaction in Your Adult Friendships.  This is something that I’ve noticed more and more is an issue as we get older. (Feelgooder)

Last one for 2010 – I watched a bit of a Britney Spears marathon (judge all you want) the other day and saw this video.  One of my favorites, and this version, the director’s cut, is way better/sexier.  Her new album comes out in March!

(Yes, I have a Nine Inch Nails video and a Britney Spears video in the same post.  That’s how I roll.)

I hope everyone had a great 2010, and that 2011 is even better.
