Instagram Roundup #58

by Jamie Sanford on September 25, 2013

Here are all of the other Instagram Roundups!

My makeup storage was a mess, so I bought rolling drawers and now I have things like this lip drawer. It’s amazing how much more variety you put into your everyday makeup usage when you can see everything.

Always taking photos of fantastic old signage. “Ladie’s” is a bit painful.

I have a big box of stuff from my dad’s mother’s side of the family. I found this marriage certificate from 1889! Now I just need to figure out how Karl Peterson and I are related.

Also from the family box, this is the front page of a velvet-bound photo album that is full of portraits from the 1800s.

Photos like this. Look at that coat!

Stopped scanning family stuff for a rainy night out with the boys on Saturday.

Sunday’s scanning project was everything in this box that, as you can see, is absolutely falling apart. I get the impression that I might be looking at someone’s collection of photos, not necessarily that I’m related to these people, but that someone I was related to had all of these in their possession. I need to do a lot more research regarding photography from this time.

Here’s the clasp of the box, and you can see just how threadbare the outside is as well.

Spent Sunday night watching the Emmys, and tweeting, naturally.

Instagram Roundup #32

by Jamie Sanford on March 20, 2013

Here are all of the other Instagram Roundups!

Been browsing books about design and such while waiting at the printer at the office. Naturally I photographed the J.

I received this ring from my Nana at Christmastime. It came from a friend of hers’ mother, and she knew it was right up my alley. I haven’t figured out what the stone is yet.

Coming soon to the blog will be a giant image of all of my walk-by Flatiron Building photos. I must have at least 25? This is from last week.

I hadn’t been to an estate sale in YEARS (at least 10) before last week. Naturally I took sneaky photos, and here is one of them.

60s kitchen decor.

I photographed lots of old packaging with my phone.

Went to St. Patrick’s Day Thanksgiving on Saturday night. Lots of drinking, eating, and merriment.

I am really looking forward to the How To Destroy Angels show next month.

Fortune, as always.

Brass Lantern Necklace

by Jamie Sanford on August 13, 2010

Today, another item from Etsy seller Jackdaw Pilate.

How cool is this necklace? Here’s the description:

Handmade on a 20-inch antique brass chain and holds a stunning diving lamp measuring an inch and a half tall. Sits on the lower chest and has such a nice weight. SO gorgeous in person!

I love the entire shop, but this particular item really called out to me, because it is hot. The brass lantern necklace is available on Etsy for $30.

Vintage Antique Style Camera Pendant Necklace

by Jamie Sanford on April 19, 2010

Today, a pretty pendant that I am so telling my husband to add to his list of “save this for later when you are buying me a gift and don’t know what to get.”

A beautiful necklace featuring a camera pendant, from etsy seller NYLightMetals.

Isn’t it great?  I think almost everyone knows someone who is into photography, and I think that this would be a great unique gift for her.  This necklace is 26 inches long, and is available on Etsy for $39.
