Las Vegas Vow Renewal | Blue Suede Shoes

by Jamie Sanford on September 28, 2016

Time really does fly, as it has now been nearly 5 years since William and I renewed our wedding vows on 11-11-11, our 5-year anniversary. We had such a good time that we are doing it again for our upcoming 10-year anniversary.

I am completely undecided about what I will be wearing. We will be having some portraits taken, so I’m tempted to go more formal, but at the same time, I was thinking that festive casual might be the better choice, for ease of movement and comfort throughout the evening. Either way, I did learn my lesson about heels last time. I either need to bring flat shoes with me or just wear flats for the whole event.

I digress. The more important factor here is that this is an Elvis wedding. We have a full Elvis ceremony, where Elvis will be performing the ceremony and singing multiple songs. Obviously, it seems like the right time for, you guessed it, blue suede shoes.

2012 Holiday Wishlist

by Jamie Sanford on December 20, 2012

My turn for a holiday wishlist. I’m very lucky and have already received and opened gifts from my husband’s family and I have already received so many amazing things, many from my Amazon Wishlist. I know people think it is boring to buy from wishlists, but I really love receiving things I picked for myself but probably wouldn’t spend my own money on – luxury stuff, beauty items, etc.

Anyway, the blog holiday wishlist is another beast. I’m going all out on some things I would never ask for. However, some of these aren’t bad at all.

Philip Crangi Trinket Box from the Target+Neiman Marcus holiday collection. This is currently $69.99, but since it isn’t sold out, I’m waiting for it (and some of it’s friends in that collection) to go on sale before I get one of my own.

Prada Flower-Applique Spazzolato Oxford. These are on sale at Neiman Marcus for $904. I would wear these to death. They are beautiful.

Antique Owl Watch Necklace from Fred Flare. A hot deal at $24. So cute.

OMG also from Fred Flare, this total fake McQueen studded clutch. $24.99!

A puppy! I only want a rescue dog though. Smaller than 15 lbs full-grown would be good.

The name is spelled incorrectly, but the Alexander Wang Jaime Chastity Satchel is still fabulous. Available at Saks Fifth Avenue for $925.

Finally, I would like Petra Island in upstate New York. On the island are 2 buildings designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The island is heart-shaped. I am obsessed. I have been plotting a bigger blog post about it but I have to put it in my wishlist first. Does anyone have a spare $20 million to give me?

Happy holidays everyone. I am traveling for a bit but will be back to write my recaps before the end of 2012.

2012 Birthday Wishlist

by Jamie Sanford on December 2, 2012

My birthday is coming up soon (December 7th), so here is my fantasy wishlist. My real Amazon wishlist is much more accessible. This one will be about expensive things that I don’t expect anyone to buy me!

I tend to not buy expensive sunglasses, but these are so gorgeous. They are also $290, from Nordstrom.

…except that I just found these for $10.99. Retro City Sunglasses ftw!

Miu Miu Runway Shiny Leather Buckle and Fringe Oxfords – these are on sale for $525 at Saks.

Love the blue and I want to touch the leather. Balenciaga Arena Giant 12 Rose Gold Velo in Bleut, $1,895 at Barney’s.

SO COOL. iPhone speaker doc that uses a vintage gramophone. $422 from ReAcoustic on Etsy.

I have wanted this for years. A pop girl piece by Hulbert Waldroup. A commissioned one would be even better.

Something else I have lusted after for a while. The Lancaster Leather Sofa from Restoration Hardware – the super deep Luxe edition. A mere $4,175.

I love Konstantino jewelry, and definitely would love this London Blue Topaz Crown Ring for $850. Neiman Marcus has a great selection of Konstantino jewelry.

The last item are these Miu Miu jeweled suede platform sandals. Also from Neiman Marcus, for $2100. These are a bit much but they remind me so much of a pair of YSL shoes that I was obsessed with years ago, so I want them.

That’s all – I will be spending a lot less money for my birthday but I intend on having fun which is priceless! Have a good week everyone.

Christian Louboutin Lady Peep Geek Pump

by Jamie Sanford on August 18, 2012

Shoe party of 1 today. Check out other shoe parties here.

I got an email from Neiman Marcus to show me this shoe in particular, and I’m sort of upset about the name?

It seems crappy to call it Geek. I think it should be Circuitry or something. Christian Louboutin Lady Peep Geek Pump, $1,695 at Neiman Marcus.

Either way, it is incredibly fabulous. I could not walk in these at all, but I am especially enamored with the detail of the metallic red at the bottom of the toe opening. Classy touch there, Mr. Louboutin.

I will have a bigger Christian Louboutin shoe party coming up soon. I love so many pairs in the new fall collection. I am also living right now for some Prada and Miu Miu shoes, all of which are well beyond my price range.

What do you think of the Geek?

Sights & Sounds: Prada Edition

Sights and Sounds #36

So, if I had to pick one designer to make my wardrobe, it would have to be Prada.  Over the years, I’ve loved many collections and items, and yet have never owned anything from Prada or the (sort of) diffusion line, Miu Miu, which I’m also obsessed with.

Anyway, I watched the Prada Fall 2012 Runway show live online, and you should watch it now:

Now Prada has released their campaign video for this collection, which is also amazing.

Fabulous, right? Fall is my favorite season for weather, fashion, everything. I can’t wait to get my boots out again, I am over the summer.
